Session 1 - What does it mean to be "embodied?"
The first step in this work is to understand what it means to be embodied. In this training, you will learn:
- What it means to live an embodied life
- Why so many of us are dis-embodied
- Barriers to (re)connecting with your body
- Tools to feel more at home in your body
Session 2 - Presence
This powerful training will guide you in gaining deeper access to the present moment. You will:
- Learn what it *actually* means to be present
- Understand the importance of being able to access the present moment
- Notice and identify barriers to presence
- Learn fundamental tools to begin practicing presence regularly
Session 3 - Meaning Making and Interpretation
This is one of the most challenging and debilitating barriers to living an embodied life. This training will help you:

- Explore tools to move beyond the stories of the mind
Session 4 - Communication and Connection

THE HEALING EMBODIED METHOD
Our method at Healing Embodied is a one-of-a-kind fusion of dance/movement therapy theory and technique, trauma-informed somatic practices, mindfulness, psychoeducation, behavioral neuroscience theory, inner-child work, meditation, coaching, and creative arts expression.
This course will use embodiment, movement, and somatic practices in order to help you get unstuck from the mind and access greater awareness of the present moment.
ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR
Sarah is the Director of Service Delivery at Healing Embodied.
She has her Master’s and Board Certification in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling, her license in clinical professional counseling, and has facilitated countless sessions with those experiencing overwhelming anxiety and a range of other challenges. She also has extensive training and experience in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and is incredibly skilled at helping our clients navigate their emotional experiences.
Sarah has also overcome anxiety and overthinking in her own life and guides our clients from a place of embodied experience and knowledge.
Sarah makes our clients feel safe, supported, and EMPOWERED in their journey of healing!

Is this program only for women?
This program is open to all genders!
Will this course help me with anxiety?
This course will teach you the foundations of getting out of the constant overthinking and mental chatter, and into the body. This is incredibly helpful for those with anxiety, or any other issue that may result from excessive thinking.
How is this course different from other approaches I’ve tried, like talk therapy?
At Healing Embodied, we believe that excessive thinking isn’t resolved with more thinking and talking. That just ADDS to the narratives and mental noise. We believe that in order to stop giving so much power away to your mind, you must tap into another way of processing and experiencing life - we do this by guiding you into your body. Your body is the resource you can take with you everywhere. You don’t need to stop and journal. You don’t need to do all these mental gymnastics. You simply need to learn how to anchor into the body at any given moment. It’s really that simple, yet so profound.
